01Using without exfoliating
Before starting any skin treatment, it is important to cleanse and exfoliate. Wash your face using a suitable cleanser and follow it up with a scrub formulated for your skin type. This ensures that the surface dirt is thoroughly cleansed and it does not seep deeper to irritate your skin and cause problems. Exfoliating also opens the pores and makes extraction simpler without causing pain.
02Not taking a steam
If you want your blackheads to come to the surface and get extracted easily, it is important to first take steam. This will open the pores and prepare them for easy extraction. Boil water in a large vessel then lean over it, cover your head so the steam reaches your skin. Don't hold your face too close to the water as this can lead to burns and redness. Alternatively, you can also take a hot shower.
03Using without disinfecting
It is important to disinfect your blackhead extracting tool before using it to ensure there's no dirt or germs sitting on it. You can use a general disinfectant or rubbing alcohol to clean the tool before using it. If you don't want to invite more skin problems, never skip this important step.
04Being aggressive
